Adam Hornyanszky

Adam Hornyanszky

Adam Hornyanszky received his first degree (business administration) in 2000 from the Budapest Business School – University of Applied Sciences, later his law degree in 2006 from Péter Pázmány Catholic University in Budapest and completed his bar exam in 2011. Since then he is heading his private practice with strong focus on the pharmaceutical industry. His professional interests include the combination of both: management and legal skills. His work is mostly dedicated to one strong local pharmaceutical player (Béres Pharmaceuticals Ltd.) for which he is responsible to develop its international business presence and to follow up contractual wise. He is involved in several national/international cooperation between pharmaceutical companies; his contribution covers the whole process starting from the negotiation phase until the wording of the agreements.

Alexey Amvrosov

Alexey Amvrosov

Alexey Amvrosov is the lead counsel for IBM Cognitive Process Transformation division in Europe and for IBM Global Business Services division in CEE. He has over 20 years of in-house and private practice experience and deep knowledge of commercial, corporate, IT laws and international practices, and legal department management. Alexey was recognized by Legal 500's “GC Powerlist”, both in team and individual capacity in 2016 and 2017 respectively. He has been with IBM since 2005 and is currently based in Vienna. Alexey was the Head of Legal for all Russia/CIS operations of IBM for many years, and held various other roles in IBM Europe and CEE Legal Department on top of his main responsibilities (including cross-regional coordination of internal investigations, litigation and dispute resolution, public sector, etc.). Prior to IBM, Amvrosov worked in private practice – German law firm Noerr (1997-2001) and international law firm Norton Rose Fulbright (2001-2005), focusing on M&A and corporate, general commercial and natural resources law. Alexey is a graduate of the law faculty at MGIMO University – Moscow State Institute of International Relations (Bachelor and Master programs) and was also lecturing comparative corporate law in Moscow State Open University prior to joining IBM and moving to Vienna. He speaks English, German and Russian.

Csaba Polgar

Csaba Polgar

Csaba Polgar is one of the founding partners of the PONTES law firm alliance, and he leads the energy (both RES and fossil), infrastructure finance, and international arbitration groups in the firm's Budapest office. In addition, his practice includes M&A deals and distressed asset and NPL acquisitions. Csaba has acted as an arbitrator at the Permanent Court of Arbitration for Energy Matters and as local counsel in a number of treaty arbitrations in front of ICSID. Before establishing Pontes Budapest, Csaba spent more than seven years in Allen & Overy’s Budapest and London Offices.

Daniel Szabo is Legal Counsel Hewlett Packard Enterprise leading the Central Europe Legal Team. He joined HPE as a Country Legal Counsel for Hungary in 2014 and advanced to his current role in January 2019. Prior to that he worked for Magyar Telekom as Legal Counsel, Foreign Subs and M&A for almost five years. Earlier still he worked in private practice as a Junior Lawyer with both Allen & Overy and Nagy es Trocsanyi.

Eva Nikolic

Eva Nikolic

Senior Leader with 15+ years Legal, Regulatory, Compliance and External Affairs expertise, with extensive experience in civil law legal systems, multinational environment and above market ways of working, including participation in major international and cross-border transactions and managing lawyers and teams in multiple jurisdictions. Substantial experience in the FMCG sector and highly regulated industries like pharmaceuticals and tobacco. Former positions include Legal Advisor Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia and Legal Director Europe, Middle East and Africa at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International and Legal Director Hungary and Croatia, Legal Director Central Europe and Legal Director Adria Cluster at British American Tobacco. Eva holds an LL.B. from the Law School of the University of Novi Sad and Law School of the University of Szeged, as well as an LL.M. in International Business Law from the Central European University.

Gergely Szaloki

Gergely Szaloki

Gergely Szalóki is a partner at Schoenherr Hungary. He is with the firm since February 2009, having 14 years of experience. Gergely specialises in banking & finance and capital markets and also deals with insurance regulatory issues. He has been involved in numerous significant transactions for both domestic and foreign clients of the firm frequently acting for clients in the financial industry and also advises on the borrower side. Gergely also deals with banking and insurance regulatory issues, as well as financial regulatory advice for the banking and insurance sector. He also advises on the regulatory aspects of market entry, corporate restructurings, provision of cross border services and compliance matters (e.g. compliance with capital requirements regulation). He is continuously involved in bond issue transactions representing both managers and issuers and acts for investment funds. In 2018, he has been added to the official List of Recommended Arbitrators in the fields of Banking&Finance and Capital Markets in Hungary.

Kameliya Naydenova

Kameliya Naydenova

Ms. Kameliya Naydenova is Legal Manager at AVON being responsible for the full-scope legal advising for three markets in the Balkans region. Prior to joining AVON, Kameliya was working for more than four years as Legal & Compliance Officer at Johnson & Johnson, the multinational medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer goods manufacturer. Her work experience is focused on anti-competitive practices and mainly vertical agreements, information exchange between competitors and companies active at different levels of the supply chain, abuse of a dominant position and unfair competition (misleading and comparative advertising). Ms. Naydenova graduated LL.M. in Competition Law with Merit at the University of London, International Programs. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic Regulation and Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Law from the University of London and a Master degree diploma in Law awarded with Distinction from Sofia University. Ms. Naydenova has worked as a lawyer in leading international and Bulgarian law firms. In the period 2010-2013 she was Arbitrator at the International Arbitration Court of the Legal Interaction Alliance Association in Bulgaria. Kameliya speaks English, Spanish and Bulgarian.

Marianna Erdei

Marianna Erdei

Marianna is currently working for EY as its Legal Director in Hungary. Her previous experiences encompass working at an international law firm, and, later on, in the pharmaceutical industry as legal counsel of an international drug company, focusing on negotiating and drafting pharmaceutical contracts, providing professional legal advice on license and supply of pharmaceutical products, intellectual property rights and biotechnology related matters.

Peter Lukacsi

Peter Lukacsi

Péter Lukácsi is a partner at SBGK Attorneys at Law and Patent Attorneys. His main areas of practice include advice, prosecution and litigation in various fields of IP law (eg, trademarks, copyrights and designs), as well as advice and litigation in competition law. He also has extensive experience negotiating and drafting licensing, distribution and franchising agreements. His main cases include representing the plaintiff in the first Community design infringement case before the Hungarian courts; and representing one of the largest brand owners before the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in the first preliminary ruling referral to the ECJ from a Hungarian court in a trademark matter. Mr Lukácsi is a member of the International Trademark Association’s Designs Committee, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA), where he is also chair of ECTA’s Professional Affairs Committee and a member of th eCouncil. He has been elected to the Council of the Hungarian Trademark Association and is a member of the Hungarian Council of Copyright Experts. Since 2018 he has been a member of the Council of Industrial Property Experts and vice president of trademark, competition law and designs for the Hungarian Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright. Mr Lukácsi is a regular speaker at conferences and author of several publications within the field of IP and competition law, in Hungarian and foreign languages. In 2018 he was awarded a PhD from the faculty of law at Eötvös Loránd University, where he is a senior lecturer.

Reka Szabo

Reka Szabo

Reka Szabo is Head of Legal for LeasePlan Hungaria Zrt, where she is also responsible for Compliance and Privacy. Since 2016 she has also been responsible for the CEE cluster of LeasePlan, in which capacity she coordinates the legal work of the company's Slovakian, Czech, Russian, and Hungarian entities. Reka holds her legal diploma from Faculty of Law at the Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest and has a degree in Economics from the Budapest Business University.

Roland Csecsei is the Senior Legal Counsel at AVON for 15 years now. During his cooperation with the firm he was looking after many different markets within the CE region and currently he is managing the legal matters for the following 10 countries: Hungary, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and last but not least Germany. Having such a wide varity of territorial engagement gives the possibility to learn different legal cultures and approaches which he enjoys the most. Also this fortunate mix of countries provides many opportunities to face different legal challenges and above all to meet great lawyers and people. Besides the day-to-day commercial legal counselling at AVON the lawyers are also engaged in government affairs related tasks, regulatory issues and ethics & compliance matters. In order to become the trusted advisor of the firm our approach is to bring the legal support as close to the business needs as it is possible. This approach called our new baby „Simply Legal” into existence which is an internal brand for the legal team and in the frame of which we provide targeted trainings, simplified guidences, newsletters to our business colleagues while using the simpliest possible language when doing so. Lately we have created 1 minute funny type of cartoons, and also comics about compliance related topics in order to grab the attention of our business colleagues in the current „compliance noise”.

Viktor started his carrier at the State Supervision of Financial Organizations, then moved to Corvinus International Investments Limited Private Company where, before joining HB Reavis in March 2007, he spent 7 years.”
